In those workshop hold in 12 different schools of Finland we have shown a bit of the Native American culture, more specificaly from the Métis-Wabanaki from Québec.

We had handcraft worshop with Mimelistag, story telling with Jaana kuusela, lecture, music and danse by Riel Huaorani and Yovan Nagwetch. The children reacted very positively and with a dynamic interactivity.

A special attention was put on the relation ancient cultures like Native American cultures had with their environnement, the respect they hold for their "Mother Earth" and "Father Sky" as well as the harmony they kept with all living creatures.

We also presented the activities hold by Young People's Planet in the rest of the world and the effort made by several groups to find and apply solutions to their local chalenges concerning development, social and environmental issues.

We hope that the future will allow the Finnish children to establish contact with other Young People's Planet groups and, why not, to develop common projet for a better planet!
